The game opens with a choice of five instruments: piano, xylophone, flute, drums and guitar. Each is laid out as a row of large coloured keys or pads, sized for a young child pressing a screen rather than for someone reading music. Tapping a key plays its note, and that is the entire mechanic.

Alongside the instruments there is a set of songs to pick from. Choosing one gives a child something to aim at instead of an empty keyboard, which is usually the difference between a minute of tapping and ten minutes of playing. The songs are simple enough that a small hand can follow them.

There is no timer, no score and no way to get anything wrong. That matters more than it sounds at this age: a child who cannot fail keeps experimenting, and the sound each key makes is the reward on its own. Parents can leave it running without needing to step in.

Everything works on a single click or tap, which makes it as usable on a phone as on a computer. Switching instruments mid-session is one click away, so a child who loses interest in the drums is one tap from the xylophone rather than from closing the game.
