Description

Wacky Wheels is a race against a clock rather than against other cars. Each track is a short course of tight turns and moving hazards, and the only opponent is the time you have left when you reach the end of it.

Swinging hammers and similar obstacles run on a fixed rhythm, so a track is a timing problem before it is a driving one. Arriving at a hazard slightly early usually means waiting, and waiting is exactly what the clock punishes, so speed has to be built before the obstacle rather than after it.

Stars are scattered along each course and rarely sit on the fastest line. Collecting them means committing to a wider entry or a longer drift, which costs time you may not have. Deciding which stars to leave is a real part of playing well rather than a sign you are doing badly.

The physics stay loose enough to be funny and tight enough to be fair. Cars slide, tip and occasionally leave the track entirely, but a failed run almost always traces back to a corner you took faster than the grip allowed, which is a mistake you can fix on the next attempt.
