Magic Slide

Magic Slide puts a young witch on her broom in front of a floating castle and gives you a seven-column grid beneath her. Coloured blocks of different widths are already stacked at the bottom, and the first target is four hundred points.

The instruction screen states the rule plainly: slide blocks to make horizontal rows. A block only travels sideways within its own row, so filling a line means shunting pieces left and right until the gaps close.

Every slide costs you space. A fresh row appears from below each time you move a block, pushing the whole stack upward. Let a block reach the top and the run ends there, so clearing a line early gives you a lot more room later.

A green cauldron bubbles beneath the board with a gem on its front. Clearing blocks fills its gauge, and a full gauge drops diamonds onto the grid. Reaching the target pays a hundred coins, though the score beside it is the real thing to beat.
