Description

Horror Hotel puts you in charge of a fright attraction rather than a hotel in the ordinary sense. Visitors pay to be scared, and everything you buy exists to make that happen more reliably.

The thing you are actually selling wears out. Props get worn, rooms get dirty, and equipment breaks, so a scare that worked last week can quietly stop landing while still costing the same to run.

Staff are the other half of it. Actors have to be hired for the rooms, assistants keep the place turning over, and a room with good decorations and nobody working in it is an expensive empty corridor.

Maintenance is therefore the loop that decides how far you get. Cleaning and repairing on time is unglamorous next to buying a new creepy set piece, and it is the part that keeps visitors coming back rather than leaving disappointed.
