Zombie Conquer Countries

Zombie Conquer Countries starts you with a handful of infected and then lets the numbers do the work. Everyone your horde reaches becomes another one of it. Growth is exponential, which the game leans on rather than hides.

It is split into numbered levels. A progress bar across the top ends in a chequered flag, so you always know how much is left. Most of the satisfaction is in the acceleration: the first stretch feels slow, and the rest goes by faster than you can watch.

Two boosts sit down the left edge of the screen, Speed and Shield. One makes you quicker and the other protects you, and both are worth keeping back for the stretch that is genuinely crowded.

The setting is a brick-red desert canyon with wooden shacks, wrecked cars and heaps of corn scattered along the route. It is all seen from above in portrait, so one hand is enough.
