Description

The Fancy Pants Adventure: World 1 is where the series started. A stickman in orange trousers, a world drawn like the margins of a school notebook, and movement that almost nothing else on the web has matched since.

Momentum is the whole game. Build up enough speed and you run up vertical walls; carry it downhill and you slide instead of walk. Stopping to be careful is the wrong instinct here — the level design assumes you are moving, and the awkward sections are the ones taken slowly.

There are no weapons. Spiders are avoided and rats are jumped on, which keeps the focus on where you can get to rather than what you can beat. Secret doors are hidden throughout, and finding them is most of the reason to replay a level you have already finished.

The goal is simple enough: explore Squiggleville and collect the spiral trophies. What it is actually remembered for is the running.
