Obby Tower is a climb interrupted at intervals by arithmetic. You jump between moving platforms the way you would in any obstacle tower, and then a gate appears that only opens once you have solved what is written on it.

Putting the two together changes both. Arriving at a gate with your heart still going from a run of jumps is a poor state for solving an equation, and the answer does not become easier because you got there quickly.

The equations stay simple and the platforms carry the difficulty, which is the right balance for something meant to sneak practice into a game. Nobody stalls on the sums; people stall on the ledge two jumps before them.

Falling returns you to the last checkpoint rather than the base, so a wrong answer or a missed jump costs a section instead of the climb. That keeps the tower worth restarting, which is the only way anyone reaches the top of one.
