Description

Speed Demons Race hands you the parts before it hands you a race. You assemble a monster truck first, and what you bolt together decides how the hills, slopes and metal jumps ahead are going to treat you.

The tracks are built to be broken through rather than driven around. Wooden crates shatter, containers can be climbed and jumps have to be hit at the right speed, so a truck that is merely fast will bounce off obstacles a heavier one would flatten.

Tricks pay separately from finishing. Pleasing the crowd earns coins on top of the race result, which means a slower run full of clean landings can be worth more than a quick one that never left the ground.

Those coins go straight back into the truck, and upgrades change the character of it rather than simply raising numbers. A build that suits steep hills is the wrong build for a track full of long jumps, so rebuilding between events is part of the game.
