GT Championship Arcade

GT Championship Arcade takes the shape of GT racing — closed circuits, a field of rivals, laps to complete — with five cars on the grid, three laps to a race, and a standings list down the right-hand side naming every rival. You pick a car and drive.

The circuits change their mood, from a daylight track with grass verges and grandstands to a neon-lit one, and the layouts are built to read easily at speed. You can see the corner arriving and judge the entry rather than memorising the circuit, so a first lap on a new track is a race rather than reconnaissance.

Overtaking is a decision rather than a formality. Diving down the inside works when you have the speed to hold it and costs you the corner when you do not, and the field is close enough that one bad entry drops you several places.

Because sessions are short and restarts immediate, this is a game to play in bursts. The championship gives the races a frame, but a single race stands up perfectly well on its own if that is all you have time for.
