Elevator Fight
Description
Each floor brings a new challenger into the elevator and only one of you continues upward. The space is deliberately cramped, so the usual business of circling an opponent does not exist here; you are either attacking or avoiding, and there is no third option.
That reduces the fight to timing. Attacking leaves you open and dodging costs you the exchange, so reading when the other fighter commits is the entire skill. On a phone the two actions are split cleanly — tap the opponent to hit, tap yourself to duck — which makes the choice explicit.
Between floors you improve speed, power and defence. They pull against each other in the obvious way: power ends fights sooner, defence survives the ones that go long, and speed decides who acts first. Spreading evenly produces a fighter who loses slowly to everybody.
There are more than a hundred and thirty floors and the opponents are written to be funny rather than intimidating. A run is a series of short bouts rather than one long climb, so it is easy to stop at any floor and come back to it.
