Description

Hotfoot Baseball is built around the part other browser baseball games skip. You swing, you connect, and then you have a runner on the field and a decision to make about whether he goes.

That decision is the game. A ball hit deep buys time for a second base; a ball hit hard and straight does not. Sending a runner who cannot make it costs an out, and holding one who could have made it costs the run you needed. Both mistakes feel like your fault, which is the sign it is working.

Everything is one tap. Tap to swing, tap a player to send him on. There is nothing to learn beyond that, and the cartoon presentation makes it obvious at a glance who is where.

A championship runs over the traditional baseball nations, and it is short enough to finish in a sitting. The rules are simplified far enough that someone who has never watched an innings can follow it, without simplifying away the thing that makes baseball tense.
