Flip Duel

Flip Duel puts a single character on a city basketball court and gives them one trick. A glowing green patch marks where the landing has to happen, and the A button sends them into a backflip. Everything after that — the rotation and the fall — is already decided the moment you press it.

The multiplier in the corner is the real score. It starts at one and climbs with every clean landing, which makes a long run worth far more than the sum of its jumps. The stats screen keeps the honest version of your record, counting flips against flops, and a flop is simply a landing that missed the patch.

Each world has ten levels, with the first one open and the rest locked behind it. Arrows at the sides take you to other worlds, so the courts change as you progress. R restarts the level, and that is the button you will use most while learning a new landing zone.

The setting is unapologetically street, with graffiti on the shutters, a fenced court and bystanders along the wall. A characters menu lets you change who is doing the flipping, while the side-on camera keeps the arc of the jump easy to read — the only information you really need to time it.
