Description

Two snakes play football against each other, and neither of them is built for it. Steering is left and right along a body that keeps moving, so getting to the ball is already most of the work before you think about where to put it.

Ordinary contact nudges the ball; the headbutt is what actually sends it. That move costs energy, and the energy comes from blue dots scattered around the pitch, so a snake that spends every headbutt it has ends up shoving the ball around with its face.

The dots create a second game running underneath the first. Going to collect one means leaving the ball, and leaving the ball to an opponent who still has energy is how goals happen. Choosing when to recharge is the closest this gets to tactics, and it is a real choice.

A friend on the same keyboard is what it is for. Both snakes start caged and are released by a tap or the space bar, and the whole thing is short, loud and deliberately clumsy — the humour comes from the snakes being bad at football, not from you being bad at the game.
