Description

Push.io strips an arena game down to one verb. There is a platform, there is water around it, and there is a boomerang in your hand. Everything after that is about angles.

The boomerang comes back, which is the detail that makes it a game rather than a scramble. Throwing it commits you for the second or two it takes to return, and a rival who reads that gap can walk straight through your position. Good players throw at where someone is about to be rather than where they are.

Placement matters more than aim. Standing near the edge makes you dangerous and also makes you the easiest target in the round; standing in the middle keeps you alive and out of the scoring. Most rounds are decided by whoever misjudges that trade first.

Surviving longer raises your rank, and the trophies buy boomerang upgrades between rounds. The matches are short enough that a bad one costs nothing, which is exactly why it is easy to keep playing one more.
