Tanks: Race for Survival is a race first and a tank game second. Everyone starts together, the finish line is the goal, and enemy towers sit along the route firing at whoever comes past. You cannot outrun them, so the only question is whether to answer them.

That is the decision the whole game turns on. Stopping to destroy a tower hands the lead to whoever kept driving, but a tower left behind you keeps firing at your back for as long as you are in range. The right answer changes depending on how far you still have to go.

Route planning matters because the track is wider than the racing line. There are ways around some of the danger, and they are longer, so a player who reads the map well can arrive undamaged while a faster driver arrives first and half destroyed.

Obstacles and traps sit between you and everything else, and the tank turns like a tank. Nothing about the handling is forgiving, which means the players who win are usually the ones who committed to a route early rather than the ones reacting best.
