Description

Dice Puzzle is a merge puzzle that uses dice instead of numbered tiles. You take a die from the tray, drop it on the grid, and any three or more matching faces that end up touching snap together into one upgraded die.

Connections count on the diagonals as well as in straight lines, which is what makes it more than a tidier 2048. That freedom lets you set up larger merges than you would expect, and it also means you can box yourself in without noticing if you stop watching the diagonals.

The tray complicates planning by handing out dice singly and in pairs. Pairs are stuck side by side and only fit where there is room for both halves, so they sometimes need rotating before they will sit where you want them.

Storage slots take the pressure off. Setting aside a die you cannot place is often the move that opens a clean merge two turns later, and the best sequences come from a merge whose new value immediately matches what is next to it.

Game Controls

How to Play:

Place: Drag a single die or a pair from the tray onto an empty cell
Rotate: Tap a die in the tray to turn an awkward pair
Merge: Three or more matching faces touching, in line or diagonally, combine
Store: Set aside a die you cannot place yet and pull it back later
Chain: Set up merges that trigger the next one below them
