Dummies World Cup is a football game played with ragdoll characters. You pick one of 32 national teams and work through a tournament, but the players flop and stagger rather than running properly.

That is the joke and also the game. Because the players are physics objects, a shot you lined up perfectly can end with your striker falling over the ball. You are not really controlling a footballer so much as nudging one in roughly the right direction and hoping the physics cooperates.

Controls are kept to a minimum for the same reason — complicated inputs would be wasted on players this unreliable. Move and kick is more or less the whole set, which makes it easy to hand to someone who has never played it.

Matches are short, and the tournament runs through the usual knockout structure. Results swing on luck as much as skill, so a weaker team beating a stronger one is entirely normal.
