Description

Gloves of Block puts you in one position and leaves you there. You are the goalkeeper, the shots keep coming, and there is no attacking half of this game to escape into. Every round is simply a question of how many you can stop.

The saves are reflex work rather than prediction. Shots arrive with enough warning to move and not enough to be comfortable, and the ones that beat you are usually the ones you started moving for too early. Waiting a fraction longer than feels safe is the habit worth building.

You pick a country and work up through a tournament, and the opposition sharpens as you go. Early rounds forgive a slow hand; later ones put the ball into corners that need the save started before the shot is finished. The difficulty curve is the whole structure of the game.

Because there is only one job, improvement is very visible. A round you scraped through last time goes by cleanly once your timing settles, and the run towards the trophy stops being about luck fairly quickly.
