Description

Pixel Mini Golf is a crazy golf course with four hundred holes and no interest in staying realistic. Windmills and sand are there, and so are portals, cannons, burners, mole holes and boxing gloves that punch the ball somewhere you did not intend.

The mechanics arrive one at a time, which is what keeps four hundred levels from blurring together. A hole that introduces impulse pads uses only impulse pads; three holes later they are combined with a portal, and the layout expects you to already understand both.

Under the obstacles it is still golf. Power and angle, a limited number of strokes, and the constant temptation to hit harder than the hole requires. Coins reward the routes that look risky and work, and the score rewards not needing them.

The presentation is calm despite all that: pixel greens, birdsong, and no timer anywhere. It plays well in short visits, and a hole you could not solve tends to be obvious the next morning.
