Description

Nitro Speed 2 Underground is set after dark, in a city built to be driven through rather than looked at. Sports cars, wet reflective roads, and a nitro bar that turns a good line into a winning one.

The driving model asks more of you than a menu racer does. Handbrake and drift are separate things, ABS and traction control can be switched off, and there is a dedicated key for getting back on the track — which tells you plainly how often you will need it. Turning the assists off makes the car quicker and the corners far less forgiving.

Nitro is the resource that shapes a lap. Spending it down a straight feels good and wins nothing; spending it coming out of a corner where you already have grip is what moves you up the order. The bar refills slowly enough that guessing wrong costs a place.

Alongside the races there is a city mode where nothing is timed and you simply drive around watching the place work. It runs on the arrow keys or WASD, with a full row of toggles for anyone who wants to tune how the car behaves.
