Description

Street Mayhem - Beat Em Up is a side-scrolling brawler that runs from dark city streets through forests and into a castle, throwing waves of enemies and mutants at you the whole way.

Four fighters give you different reach and speed to work with. A quick character clears groups by staying mobile; a heavier one wins the exchanges but has to be positioned carefully, since being surrounded costs far more when you cannot move out of it quickly.

Crowd control is the skill the genre asks for. Backing toward a wall means fewer directions to defend, and knocking one enemy into another buys the space to deal with the rest.

Two players on one keyboard changes the calculation — covering each other works, and both charging the same group does not.
