Description

Tic Tac Toe Multiplayer is the three-in-a-row game you already know. Two players take turns marking X and O on a three by three grid, and the first to line up three of their own marks takes the round.

The rules are trivial but the board is not symmetrical. The center square belongs to four possible winning lines, corners to three, and edges to only two. Once you notice that, you can start setting up positions that threaten two lines at once, which leaves your opponent able to block only one of them.

Three modes are available. Multiplayer pairs you with someone else in real time. The computer opponent has several difficulty settings, and on the highest one it plays perfectly — a draw is genuinely the best you can get. Pass and play works with two people sharing a device.

Rounds take well under a minute, which makes this an easy thing to open between other tasks. Multiplayer results are recorded and feed into your position on the leaderboard.
