Pet Doctor Business Tycoon runs on two sides that need each other. You treat the animals, and you run the clinic that makes treating them possible.

Treatment starts with looking. Each patient arrives with symptoms rather than a diagnosis, so examining before reaching for a tool is the part that decides whether the treatment works. Cases range from cleaning a wound and checking vitals to surgery and helping with a difficult birth.

The business side decides what you can take on. Fees pay for equipment, equipment allows more complicated cases, and complicated cases pay considerably better — but only if you have the staff to keep the waiting room moving while you are occupied with one animal.

Difficulty climbs with reputation. Early days are checkups and first aid; later ones bring emergencies where the order you do things in matters and there is no time to look anything up. Expanding too fast leaves you with rooms and no one to work in them.
