Description

Worm Hunt is the multiplayer snake formula: you steer a worm around a shared arena, eat what is lying on the ground, and get longer. Touching another worm ends you; making another worm touch you is how you get ahead.

Length works against you as much as for it. A long worm covers more ground and blocks more routes, but it also has more body to steer around, and the arena stops feeling large well before you reach the top of the board.

The spacebar boost is the one resource worth thinking about. Spending it to chase a kill usually leaves you with nothing when a bigger worm cuts across your path a moment later, and the players who last longest tend to keep it for escapes rather than attacks.

Two modes change the pace: a timed one where the playable area shrinks and forces contact whether you want it or not, and an unlimited one where a patient player can farm quietly for as long as their nerve holds.

How to Play:

Steer: Move the mouse to turn — the worm follows the cursor
Boost: Spacebar for a burst of speed; it is limited, so ration it
Eat: Collect what is scattered around and what dead worms leave behind
Cut across: Force another worm into your body rather than running into theirs
Pick a mode: Timed with a shrinking arena, or unlimited for patient play
