Description

Cards on the board carry numbers and you take them into your hand one at a time. When what you are holding adds up to ten, those cards clear, and the board is finished when nothing is left to clear. That much is simple.

The hand is where the difficulty lives. It holds only so many cards, and one you took that does not combine with anything sits there taking up a slot. Fill the hand without reaching ten and the stage is over, so every pick has to be checked against what you are already holding.

That turns the board into an arithmetic search rather than a matching game. A three is useful while you hold a seven and dead weight while you hold an eight, so the same card is worth different things at different moments and the order you take them in decides everything.

Each stage also has a target that must be cleared, which stops you from simply taking whatever combines most easily. Clearing safe cards is progress that does not count if the target is still sitting there when the hand fills.
