Description

Penguin Farm sets its merge board on a frozen island where the residents are penguins and the work is construction. Wood, stone and the rest of the raw material appear on the ice, and combining matching pieces turns them into the better versions the next building needs.

Building is what turns merging into progress. A finished structure produces income on its own and opens a stretch of glacier that was previously out of reach, and the new stretch brings its own resources. The loop is deliberately slow at the start and noticeably faster once three or four buildings are running.

Penguins can be trained, which raises how much each building produces, and the ocean sends drifting chests you can collect for rewards you did not have to merge for. Both are there to keep the board from being the only thing you look at.

Nothing here is timed and nothing is lost. It is a settlement that grows whenever you come back to it, which makes it the sort of game that suits a few minutes at a time rather than one long sitting.
