Description

Zoo Restaurant runs a dessert business where the cooking is done by combining. Ingredients appear on the board, matching pairs become something better, and the finished item goes to whichever animal has been waiting for it.

The queue is what gives the merging a shape. Without customers you would combine whatever is convenient; with them you are working towards a specific item while the board keeps offering you other things. Reading the orders before you merge is the difference between a full counter and a full board.

Growth comes from serving rather than merging, so the two halves pull against each other pleasantly. Holding an item back to build something better is worth it only if the customer waiting for the simpler version does not leave first.

The animals are the reason the tone works. It is a management game with nothing at stake, drawn kindly, and it moves at whatever speed you feel like moving.
