Description

Space.io drops ten ships into open space and lets them fight. There is no cover, no terrain and no map to learn. There is only the ship you are flying, the nine you are not, and a great deal of empty room in every direction.

Because space has no floor, the dangerous direction is behind and above. A pilot who only turns left and right is flying a two-dimensional ship in a three-dimensional fight, and that is the single biggest gap between new players and the ones at the top of the board.

Boost is the whole tactical layer. It closes a gap, it breaks a lock, and it runs out at the moment you need it if you have been using it to travel. Saving it for the second someone gets behind you is the habit worth building.

Skins are cosmetic and the ranking is what you actually play for. Matches are short, restarts are instant, and the difference between finishing tenth and second is usually one turn you took too flat.
