Description

Car Crash Test: Abandoned City is a sandbox with no goals attached. There is no score, no timer and nothing to win. You get a car and an empty city, and the point is finding out what happens when you drive it into things.

Damage is modeled panel by panel rather than as a single health bar, so a car that has taken a heavy front impact steers differently afterward. Crumple the front end and the handling changes; land badly off a ramp and the suspension shows it.

The city is deserted and built for this, with ramps, drops and structures placed for launching a car at. Most sessions turn into a loop of lining up a jump, getting it slightly wrong, and going back to try it from a different angle.

Since nothing is being scored, it works best as something to fiddle with. Reset the car whenever you like and set up the next crash.
