Description

Big City Taxi Simulator opens with a premise it does not take seriously. You have taken a job as a taxi driver, the company cannot keep up with the fuel bills, and rather than quit you volunteer your own car — which happens to be considerably quicker than a taxi.

What follows is city driving with somewhere to be. Fares set the destinations, the traffic sets the pace, and having a fast car mostly means having more ways to arrive badly. The city does not clear out because you are in a hurry.

The controls lean towards simulation rather than arcade: a handbrake, a look-back key, lights you turn on yourself and an engine you can switch off. None of it is required, and all of it makes the driving feel less like steering a menu.

This one is keyboard-only, so it belongs on a computer. It suits a longer sitting than most driving games here — the fun is the route, not the score.
