Description

Dead Paradise puts you on a ruined highway in an armed car, and asks you to drive and shoot at the same time. Enemy vehicles come from behind, from the sides, and occasionally straight at you.

Splitting attention is the whole difficulty. Steering around wreckage while aiming at something overtaking you is awkward on purpose, and the players who do well are the ones who decide early whether a given threat is worth shooting or better left behind.

Enemies differ enough to require that decision. Light vehicles try to ram and can be avoided; ones that hang back and shoot have to be dealt with; armored trucks take sustained fire and are usually not worth stopping for unless the mission demands it.

Coins earned per mission go into four areas: missiles for damage and blast radius, armor to survive contact, engine for speed, and fuel for range. Which you upgrade first shapes how you play — a fast, thin car avoids fights that a heavy one simply drives through.
