Description

Color Galaxy is a territory game with a single rule holding it together. Everything you enclose becomes yours — but only once you get back to your own color.

Leaving your territory leaves a tail behind you, and anyone who touches that tail eliminates you where you stand. Small loops are quick and safe. Large ones deep into someone else's color pay enormously and leave you exposed for the whole trip back.

So every expansion is a judgment about how much time you have. Seeing an opening worth a large claim and three players moving toward you at once is the situation the game keeps producing, and knowing when to cut a loop short is worth more than knowing how to draw a big one.

Attacking works the same way in reverse. A rival stretched far from home has a long tail and no protection, and cutting it erases everything they were about to claim. Rounds tend to gang up on whoever is leading, which keeps the board from settling.
