Description

The map is divided into territory and the objective is all of it. You expand outward from what you hold, and so does everyone else, so the board is never finished until one side has the lot.

What separates this from a simple land grab is that conquered ground is not permanent. A rival can take back an area you already own, which means expansion and defence compete for the same attention — pushing further out leaves what you already have less watched.

The speed booster is the tool for closing a claim before somebody interrupts it. Using it to grab an easy area wastes it; saving it for the reach that would otherwise be too slow to complete is what it is there for.

Taking the entire map advances you to the next level, so there is a clear end to each board rather than an endless score. That gives the aggression a point: a rival left with one territory is a rival who can still take yours back.
