Description

Chicken Scream Race lets you steer with sound. Your chicken responds to how loud you are: a quiet cluck moves it gently along the ground, and a loud one launches it into a jump. There is a tap mode as well, but the voice mode is the reason to be here.

Because volume maps directly onto movement, the game turns quiet moments into deliberate choices. A gap needs a shout, a narrow ledge needs almost nothing, and the mistake most people make first is being too enthusiastic on a section that only asked for a murmur.

Two players can go at once, and the two-player mode is where the game becomes genuinely funny. Everyone can hear exactly what everyone else is doing, and a badly timed scream is public in a way a wrong key press never is.

The tap controls work perfectly well if you are somewhere you cannot make noise, and the levels are built to be fair with either. But the voice mode is the version people remember, and it is worth finding a room where you can use it properly.
