Description

Car Eats Car: Underwater Adventure is a side-on driving game set on roads running along the sea floor. The campaign has you working through stages to free friends who have been captured.

Being underwater changes how the car behaves. Everything is slightly floatier, jumps hang longer, and landings settle more slowly than they would on land. It takes a stage or two to recalibrate if you have played the surface versions.

Enemy cars chase you down and try to ram you off the road. Outrunning them needs a straight stretch, and the terrain does not hand out many, so most encounters come down to taking the hit and keeping control afterwards.

Money earned from stages goes into engine power, armour and fuel. Armour tends to matter most, since it sets how many rams you can absorb before a stage ends early.
