Description

Pool Master is pool arranged as a series of 100 puzzles rather than as a match against an opponent. Each level sets up a table and a specific problem to solve, and you work through them in order.

Early levels are simple potting. Later ones close off pockets so only certain ones count, add balls that have to be cleared in a set order, and put obstacles on the table that block the obvious line. At that point you cannot just sink the easiest ball each turn.

What the game is really teaching is cue ball control. Potting a ball while leaving the cue ball somewhere useless means the next shot is a scramble. Thinking one shot ahead — where the cue ball stops, not just what goes down — is the difference between clearing a level and running out of attempts.

Coins earned from levels unlock alternative cues, and a lucky wheel hands out occasional power-ups for the tighter tables. Neither is required to finish a level, so a hard one always stays solvable on skill alone.
