Description

A needle sweeps across a dial and your job is to stop it inside the marked zone. Click, tap or press the space bar and the needle halts wherever it happened to be. Nothing about that is complicated, which is exactly why the game is difficult.

The gap between what you see and what you press is the whole problem. By the time your hand reacts to the needle being in the zone, the needle has already left it, so accurate players stop pressing when it arrives and start pressing slightly before it does.

Scores build from runs rather than from one good stop. A sequence that lands four in a row and then misses is worth less than a steady one, so the pressure grows as a run gets longer, and that is where most attempts actually end.

It takes about five seconds to understand and considerably longer to be good at. The single input works the same on a keyboard, a mouse or a touchscreen, so nothing changes between a computer and a phone. Sessions are as short as you want them to be.
