Description

The truck is a four-wheel-drive crawler and the ground is the obstacle. Rock ledges, mountain ridges and mud all take a different approach, and none of them reward speed the way a race track would. Holding the throttle down is the fastest way to end up on your roof.

That single input is deliberate. Because you cannot steer your way out of trouble, the only decision left is how much power to give and when to let off, and the truck answers with weight transfer: too much throttle lifts the nose, too little stalls you halfway up a face.

Mud behaves differently from rock, and a line that worked on a dry ridge slips on a wet track. Reading the surface before you commit is worth more than any amount of momentum, since a crawler that loses traction rarely gets it back on the same attempt.

The 3D terrain is built to be looked at before it is driven. Runs are short and restarting is immediate, so studying a section, failing it, and coming back with a different amount of throttle is the loop the whole game is made of.
