Description

Russian Treasure Hunter puts a metal detector in your hands and an old mining town under your feet. Sweeping is most of the work; the detector tightens its signal as you close on something buried, and digging happens where you decide the signal is strongest.

Finding a signal is only half of it. What comes out of the ground might be a valuable artifact or a rusted nail, and both sound promising until the hole is open — which means time spent digging is a bet rather than a reward.

Your bag is the real constraint. Heavy finds are worth the most and take the most room, so filling it with the first things you dig up leaves nothing for the better find two sweeps later. Deciding what to carry out and what to leave behind is the decision the game keeps asking.

Selling what you recover pays for better equipment: detectors that reach deeper and bags that hold more, which in turn make previously pointless ground worth sweeping.
