Description

Math Box Balance gives you boxes with four number blocks inside and shows the sum of each. The goal never changes: make every box add up to the same total. You do it by swapping blocks between boxes, and nothing else.

With two boxes it is arithmetic. With eight it becomes a genuine puzzle, because moving a block to fix one box changes the box it came from, and a swap that balances a pair usually unbalances two others. How many moves you can plan ahead is what separates the early levels from the late ones.

The useful habit is working out the target total first. Add everything, divide by the number of boxes, and you know what you are aiming at before you touch anything. Players who skip that step spend the level swapping blocks by feel.

It runs endlessly with the difficulty climbing rather than stopping at a final level, so there is no point at which it is finished. That suits it: this is a game for a spare five minutes rather than a campaign.
