Description

Obby & Dead River is a first-person action game that moves you along a river, one castle at a time. Each castle is a self-contained stretch of fighting and platforming, and clearing it opens the way to the next one downstream.

The enemies change as you go. Early castles are held by ordinary monsters that come straight at you. Later ones add pirates who keep their distance and fight in groups, and eventually dragons that attack from above and force you to find cover rather than trade hits in the open.

Because the view is first person, positioning matters more than raw aim. Backing into a doorway so only one enemy can reach you at a time is usually smarter than standing in the middle of a hall and turning to face whatever is loudest.

Each stretch of the river ends with a larger fight that leans on everything the castles before it taught you. The setting is dark and stone-heavy throughout, and the route is linear, so there is no map to get lost in.
