Description

You join a side and play the objective with them. The arsenal and the aiming are what you would expect from a team shooter, and the part that decides matches is whether your side moves together rather than whether any one player shoots well.

Several modes are available and each rewards a different habit. Some ask you to hold a position, which punishes wandering off to look for kills; others ask you to push, which punishes the player who stayed safe. Reading which one you are in is the first thing worth doing.

Maps are 3D and built with sightlines rather than open ground, so where you stand decides what you can see and what can see you. Crossing an open stretch alone is the mistake the maps are designed to catch, and it is the one most new players make repeatedly.

Controls are WASD with the mouse on a computer and swipe-plus-buttons on a phone, and the two are close enough that switching between them is not a handicap. Rounds are short, so a bad one costs little beyond the round itself.
