Math Runner
Description
Math Runner is an endless runner with arithmetic bolted onto it. Your character runs forward on their own, and sums appear across the lane with a few answers to choose between. You pick one by running into it.
A correct answer keeps you moving. A wrong one ends the run outright — there are no spare lives. Since you cannot stop to work anything out, you are doing the arithmetic while moving, and that is what makes it different from the same sums on paper.
The questions start with addition and subtraction and move on to multiplication and division the longer you last. There are also physical obstacles in the lane that have to be jumped, so your attention is split between the sum ahead and the ground in front of you.
A run is short and restarts immediately, which makes it a reasonable way to drill quick mental arithmetic without it feeling like practice.
Game Controls
How to Play:
- Left and right arrows, or swipe sideways, to change lane
- Run into the answer you think is correct
- Space or swipe up to jump obstacles in the lane
- Answer sooner to keep your running speed up
- One wrong answer ends the run, so accuracy beats speed once the sums get harder
