Description

Fireboy and Watergirl are back in a temple with three new companions, and each character can pass things the others cannot. A level is solved by moving all of them to their exits, which means the puzzle is never about one character getting through.

Levers and buttons are the mechanism. One character stands on a switch so another can cross, then has to be brought along afterwards, so the order you move them in is the actual puzzle. Solving it with the wrong character in the wrong place usually means starting the room again.

Diamonds are scattered where the direct route does not go, and a perfect score needs all of them plus a fast completion. Those two goals pull against each other, which gives a finished level a reason to be replayed rather than left behind.

One person can play all five on the same keyboard, with Watergirl on A, W and D, Fireboy on the arrow keys and the friends on G, Y and J. It works far better with someone else, and that has always been what the series is for. Thirty-six levels are included.
