Description

Mad Dash puts a minotaur inside a maze that is really a stack of levels, and gives it one thing an ordinary platformer does not have. The dash is not a bonus here — the layouts are measured so that a jump on its own falls short.

That turns every gap into a decision in two parts. You choose when to jump and, separately, when to spend the dash inside the arc, and the second choice is the one that lands you. Dashing early carries you flat into a wall; dashing late drops you short.

Because the dash is the whole vocabulary, the levels build on it instead of adding new tricks. Later mazes stack a gap that needs a dash at the top of a jump, then immediately another, and the difficulty comes from sequencing rather than from anything unfamiliar.

The pixel art is dark and simple — a black minotaur with lit eyes against warm stone — which keeps the hazards readable once the sequences get long. It runs on the arrow keys and the space bar.

Game Controls

How to Play:

  • Move and jump: WASD or the arrow keys
  • Dash: The space bar
  • Combine them: Most gaps need a jump and then a dash, in that order
  • Time the dash: Too early flattens the arc, too late drops you short
  • Progress: Work through the maze of levels one at a time
