Baba Yaga is behind you from the first step, and she never stops. Run from Baba Yaga measures your run in hexes, the hexagonal tiles that make up the path, and the only question the game ever asks is how many of them you can put behind you.

What makes the chase different from an ordinary runner is that she grows. Her speed and the damage she deals both rise as the run goes on, so the gap you were comfortable with at the start is not a gap you will keep unless you keep earning it.

Treasure sits along the path, and every piece of it costs a moment. Stepping aside for something valuable is the whole tension of the game, because that moment is exactly what she has been closing all along.

Four hundred hexes marks the last stage, which very few runs reach. Getting close means learning which treasures are genuinely on your line and which ones only look close, and that judgement improves faster than your reflexes do.
