Description

You steer a small ship on an open stretch of water while fish close in on it. Movement runs in all four directions, which sounds generous until you notice the fish are arriving from all four as well. There is nothing to shoot with and nothing to hide behind; staying alive is the only objective.

Because the threats come from every side, the instinct to run to a corner works against you. A corner removes two of your escape routes and leaves the fish approaching along the remaining ones. Staying near the middle keeps more of the water available, even though it feels more exposed.

The score is simply how long you last, and the game gets harder the longer that is. More fish arrive and they arrive faster, so a run that felt comfortable a minute ago stops being comfortable without anything visibly changing. Reading the next gap becomes the whole skill.

Four arrow keys are the entire control scheme, which keeps the game readable from the first second. Runs end quickly and restart quickly, and the score only really moves once you stop trying to outrun the fish and start trying to be somewhere they are not.
