Description

Xytrian Runner is a flight runner with a single input: how high you fly. The ship moves forward on its own and never slows down, so everything you do is a decision about altitude.

The terrain comes at you as rock formations from above and below with a gap somewhere between them. Sometimes the gap sits high, sometimes low, and sometimes it shifts while you are approaching it. Since the ship carries momentum, you have to start climbing or dropping before the gap arrives rather than as it does.

Speed increases the longer you survive and never resets. The terrain does not become more elaborate so much as it arrives faster, and runs usually end because you committed to a height a fraction of a second too late.

One collision ends the run and distance is the score. Attempts are quick, which is what makes it easy to keep going for one more.
