Description

Stickman vs Zombies is a platformer with two threats that do not distinguish between you and the undead. Zombies fill the stages; so do giant saw blades, fire traps, acid pits, explosive barrels, spikes and rolling stones.

That overlap is the interesting part. A hazard that kills you will happily kill whatever is chasing you, so a stage can be fought through with the katana or steered through by putting zombies where the blades already are. The second way is slower and considerably more satisfying.

Direct combat still has weight to it. Sword swings chain into combos when the timing holds, and throwing knives cover the enemies you would rather not stand next to — the ones parked beside something explosive, usually.

Movement matters as much as either. Running and jumping through a stage full of moving hazards is its own timing problem, and most deaths come from a jump taken while looking at a zombie instead of the blade behind it.

How to Play:

Run: Arrow keys or A and D
Jump: Up arrow or W to clear gaps and hazards
Slash: Click or tap to swing the katana
Throw: Use the knife button for enemies you should not approach
Use the level: Saw blades, acid and barrels kill zombies too — position them into it
