Description

Minecraft Battle Party takes the blocky look and puts it in a deathmatch arena. Everyone drops in, everyone is a target, and the round is a count of eliminations.

Movement is the whole defense. There is no cover system worth relying on, so a player who stops to aim carefully is the easiest one on the map to hit. Circling, changing direction and shooting while repositioning is slower to learn and much harder to kill.

Roles and weapons decide the range you want to fight at. A ranged loadout wants distance and open sightlines; a close-quarters one wants to close the gap fast and not be caught crossing open ground to do it. Fighting at the wrong range is the most common reason a good player loses a round.

Matches are short, so trying a different role costs one round rather than an evening, and the arena refills fast enough that there is never a quiet moment to regroup in.
